Scientists believe Wolf 1061c is a rocky planet. Wolf 1061c is thought to be a rocky planet estimated to be a super-Earth exoplanet as its mass is about 4.3 times that of Earth and radius is over 1.5 which would give it a density either near or possibly higher than Earth. It has an estimated surface gravity of 1.6 times that on Earth. Wolf 1061c: the one that’s really close by and might be habitable. There are three planets orbiting Wolf 1061, but the planet Wolf 1061c is of particular interest. Since gravity gets weaker with the square of distance, it's stronger by a factor of 4 / (cubic root of 4, squared) = (cubic root of 4) = 1.6. The search is on for a second 'Earth' that humans could colonise and now there's a new candidate - Wolf 1061c. Wolf 1061 c is a planet with a minimum mass of 4.25 Earth masses located near the inner edge of its host star's habitable zone. Exoplanet Wolf 1061c is more than four times the mass of the Earth, but sits within the “Goldilocks zone” - where liquid water might exist.
